Story Behind

Is an independent type foundry by Bagus and his wife, Sarah, exploring handcrafted typefaces inspired by imperfect nature, organic shapes, and human touch. The name “Saera” comes from “sae”, a Javanese word meaning good, nice, or beautiful, combined with “Ra” from Sarah’s name. We create typefaces that feel warm, organic, and full of character, with a focus on simple forms and thoughtful imperfections.
