We make fonts, not profiles. This policy explains what information Saera Type collects when you browse, try, or license our typefaces, why we need it, and the choices you have.
We collect only what we need to run the shop, deliver your fonts, keep a record of your license, and answer your questions. We do not sell your personal information.
An independent type foundry.
Saera Type designs and licenses retail and custom typefaces through saeratype.com. In this policy, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Saera Type, and “you” refers to anyone who visits the site, tries our fonts, or purchases a license.
We are responsible for the personal information collected through this website. If you have a question about how it is handled, contact us at support@saeratype.com.
Only what the shop needs to work.
Most of the information we hold comes directly from you, when you place an order, create an account, or send us a message. A small amount is collected automatically when you use the site.
• Order and license details. Your name, email address, billing address, company name if provided, the fonts and license types you purchase, and your order history. License details are kept so we can confirm your coverage later.
• Account information. If you create an account, we store your login details and order history so you can download your fonts again and manage your licenses.
• Messages. When you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you choose to include, such as project details for a custom license.
• Technical information. Your IP address, browser type, device, and the pages you visit, collected through server logs and cookies to keep the site secure and working.
• Visit source. When you place an order, our shop records how you arrived at the site, such as a search engine, a referring website, or a direct visit. This helps us understand which channels bring customers.
To deliver fonts and support your license.
We use your information for the purposes below and rely on the legal basis that fits each one: carrying out our agreement with you, meeting our legal obligations, our legitimate interest in running a secure shop, or your consent where we ask for it.
• Process your order, take payment, and deliver your font files.
• Keep a record of your license so we can verify coverage, reissue files, or upgrade your license.
• Reply to your messages and prepare custom license quotes.
• Send service emails about your order or account. We only send news or promotions if you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
• Protect the site and our fonts against fraud, abuse, and unlicensed distribution, and meet tax and accounting requirements.
Your card details never touch our server.
Payments are handled by PayPal, which may also offer methods such as cards, Apple Pay, or Google Pay at checkout. When you pay, your payment details go directly to PayPal and are processed under PayPal’s own privacy policy.
We receive only what we need to confirm the order, such as the transaction ID, the amount, the payment status, and your billing name and email address. We never see or store your full card number.
Small files that keep your cart in place.
We use cookies that the site needs to function, such as keeping items in your cart, remembering you while you are logged in, and completing checkout securely. Our shop also uses cookies to record how you arrived at the site, as described above.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, the cart, login, and checkout may not work.
A few trusted partners help us run the shop.
We share information only with services that help us operate the site, and only what each one needs. These include our website host, PayPal for payments, and Google Fonts, which serves some of the site’s interface fonts and receives your IP address when the page loads. Each service handles data under its own privacy policy.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, for example in a case of unlicensed font distribution. Some of these services operate in other countries, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
As long as your license needs it.
Font licenses are long-term, so we keep order and license records for as long as your license remains valid and for any period required by tax or accounting law. This lets us confirm your coverage and reissue files if you need them.
Contact messages are kept as long as needed to answer your request and handle any follow-up. Account information is kept until you ask us to close your account.
Your information, your choice.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it, object to or restrict certain uses, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw any consent you have given.
To make a request, email support@saeratype.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. Some records, such as invoices and license records, may need to be kept for legal reasons even after a deletion request. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Reasonable care, every step.
The site uses HTTPS encryption, and access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to run the shop. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will act promptly if a problem occurs.
Our shop is intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy when our services, partners, or legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. If a change significantly affects how we use your information, we will let customers know by email or with a notice on the site.
