Good type. The right license.

Every project has a different home. Find the right license for yours, whether you’re designing a brand, building a website, or creating something to sell.

Explore the options below, then choose your license and usage level on the font’s product page. If your project spans several uses, you may need more than one license.

Desktop License

For the work you make on your computer.

Use the font in your design software to create print layouts and finished artwork, from business cards and invitations to brochures, editorial layouts, and presentations.

Choose a license that covers everyone who needs to install and use the font. Logo design, social content, paid advertising, merchandise, and font embedding are covered by their respective licenses below.

Web Font License

Give your website a voice of its own.

Use the font as live text on your website, including headings, navigation, and body copy. Choose the option that covers your website’s domain and traffic requirements.

This license covers website font embedding. App embedding, downloadable templates, and tools that let visitors create their own designs require separate coverage. A finished image containing text is different from a font embedded in a website.

Digital Ads License

For type that gets your campaign noticed.

Use the font in paid online campaigns, including display ads, sponsored social posts, and online video ads. Select the scope that matches your campaign’s planned use and reach.

Organic social content is covered by the Social Media License. If your ads load the font itself, such as in HTML5 creative, check that font embedding is included in your selected scope. Television and cinema advertising require Broadcast & Film coverage.

Social Media License

Bring your type to the feed.

Create organic social content for the brand or accounts covered by your license, including posts, stories, reels, thumbnails, and channel graphics.

This covers published content, not the distribution of font files or editable templates. Boosting a post or running it as a sponsored ad requires Digital Ads coverage.

Merchandise & Templates License

For the things you make to sell.

Use the font in finished designs for products such as clothing, tote bags, mugs, posters, and stationery, within the scope of your selected license.

For templates, choose coverage that explicitly includes template resale. Font files cannot be bundled with the download. Customers who need the font to edit live text must obtain their own appropriate license. Templates that embed the font, or let customers generate personalized designs, need a custom agreement.

App & Platform License

Type that belongs inside your product.

Embed the font in the interface of an app, game, or software product covered by your license. Choose coverage that matches the product and how it will be distributed.

The font must remain part of the product rather than being offered as a separate download. Online design editors, automated document generators, and tools that let users create or export their own content require a custom agreement. For an ordinary website, start with the Web Font License.

Broadcast & Film License

For stories made for the screen.

Use the font in titles, credits, captions, and on-screen graphics for films, television, streaming productions, and broadcast advertising.

Choose coverage that matches your production and distribution. For organic social videos, see Social Media; for paid online video ads, see Digital Ads. If one project spans several channels, contact us to confirm the coverage you need.

Corporate & Custom License

One conversation. Coverage built around your team.

Planning a wider brand rollout? Tell us where the font will be used, who needs access, and which brands or entities need coverage. We’ll help define a license around your project.

Contact us for use across multiple teams or entities, e-book embedding, server use, editable design platforms, product personalization, or other uses not covered above. Your agreement will specify the permitted uses and limits.

Discuss your license

A few things to know

•  Your license covers the fonts and uses you purchase. Check the included styles, permitted uses, and usage limits before ordering.

•  A finished design and a font file are different things. Delivering artwork does not automatically give someone permission to install or use the font.

•  Keep font files within your licensed access. Do not resell, redistribute, or share them with people outside the scope of your license.

•  Plan for the full project. If your use changes or grows beyond your coverage, contact us before expanding it.
